The Challenge
HYROX Berlin is the biggest stage in European hybrid racing. Thousands of athletes, heats running back to back from morning to night, four days straight. Myprotein needed the full range out of it: race coverage, athlete spotlights, post-race interviews, product in the hands of athletes at the booth, and the atmosphere that makes Berlin the event it is. Stills, high-grade video, and social-first content for TikTok and Reels. The hard part wasn't the volume. It was the clock. Event content has a shelf life measured in hours. A viral moment posted two days late is just an archive. Everything had to land the same day, or within 24 at the outside, for four consecutive days. Which means shooting all day and turning it around while the next day is already loading in. And you can't schedule the best moments. The heat someone blows up in. The finish-line collapse. The face at the sandbag lunges. Those happen once, in a crowd, with no warning.
Our Strategy
Shoot decisions were made against a delivery deadline, not a wishlist. That meant capturing in a way that could be cut fast. Clean audio on interviews first time, framing that didn't need rescuing in post, selects flagged on the floor rather than in the edit. For the unrepeatable moments, we covered the parts of the course where they reliably happen. Sled push, burpee broad jumps, the wall balls, the finish. We knew which Myprotein athletes were in which heats and where they'd break. Post-race interviews were caught in the window right after the finish, while athletes were still in it. That's the difference between a quote and a reaction.
The Results
Social-first videos and stills landed the same event day, ready to publish while the moment was still current. Race coverage, athlete spotlights, post-race interviews, viral moments as they happened. Product content from the booth and in athletes' hands at the point it actually mattered. Plus a high-production reel cut from the full four days. The takeaway: Event content is worth what it's worth on the day. We built the production around the deadline so Myprotein could post while their athletes were still on the floor. Four days running.
